Bill Clinton was questioned about Dick Cheney’s comments that Hillary Clinton should run against Barack Obama in the upcoming elections. Richard Cheney called Hillary Clinton a formidable opponent to run against President Obama in the preliminaries. He said some friendlily competition would help the Democrats and would be fun for them just like it is on the Republican side. Former President Bill Clinton says though he is very proud of his wife, he wouldn’t advise her to run against the current president as keeping the party united should be everybody’s goal. He also said he admires Cheney’s talks of Hillary Clinton, but feels he was just trying to put a rift in the midst of the Democratic Party.
What do you think: Was Dick Cheney saying those remarks just to divide the Republican Party? And should Hillary Clinton, or anyone else from the Democratic Party, challenge President Barack Obama for the nomination in the 2012 elections?
